The Real O.T.
On July 19th we begin a new message series entitled, "The Real O.T."
For many people, the OT is confusing, irrelevant or both. In this series we'll help people understand the high-points of the book of Genesis from chapter 12 all the way through chapter 50, the end of the book. We'll look at some of the main characters and events in their lives and see how God is in the process of restoring the world and what that has to do with us and our lives today.
July 19th: Abraham.
God is in the process of restoring the world and wants me to be part of what He is doing.
July 26th: Sarah
Being a person of faith means waiting and trusting in God.
August 2nd: Isaac
The story of Abraham and Isaac teaches us to trust God to provide what we need when what He is doing is making no sense.
August 9th: Jacob
Through our struggles God changes us into the people we are meant to be.
August 16th: Jacob to Joseph
We're all messed up, but God sticks with us.
August 23rd: Joseph in Slavery
Doing the right thing will often lead to suffering.
August 30th: Joseph in Egypt
God is always at work, even when I have no idea what He is doing
